Repairs
Leaks, lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots, rusted step flashing, a valley that has given up. We find the actual source, which is rarely where the ceiling stain is, fix it, and photograph the fix before we come down.
Repairs, full replacements, storm damage and gutters for homes around Harlow. Every inspection is free, takes about 45 minutes, and ends with twenty photos of your roof and a written report, whether or not you hire us.
We are a roofing company, not a home-improvement everything. Four jobs, done by the same crews for thirty years. If your problem is not on this list, we will tell you who to call instead.
Leaks, lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots, rusted step flashing, a valley that has given up. We find the actual source, which is rarely where the ceiling stain is, fix it, and photograph the fix before we come down.
Tear-off to the deck. Any soft plywood replaced. Ice-and-water shield at the eaves and every valley, synthetic underlayment, new step and counter flashing, new pipe boots, ridge vent, then shingle, metal or cedar. One roof, every layer new.
Emergency tarping, a documented inspection you can attach to a claim, and a roofer who meets the adjuster on the roof with the photos. We fix what the storm broke, at what the work costs. No inflated estimates, no waived deductibles.
Seamless aluminum, five or six inch, run to length in your driveway with hidden hangers every 24 inches. Downspouts rerouted away from the foundation. Guards if you want them, and an honest opinion on whether your trees justify them.
Most roofers inspect from the driveway and quote from the truck. Ours is a different thing, and it is the reason a third of our inspections end with "your roof is fine."
A roofer walks every slope, checks the flashing at every chimney, wall and pipe, lifts a shingle tab or two to see how the seal is holding, looks at the ridge and the valleys, and goes in the attic if you will let us. About 45 minutes. You are welcome to watch from the ground and ask anything.
Same day, by text or email. Twenty or more photos with a plain-English caption on each. A one-page summary: what is fine, what is wearing, what is urgent, and roughly how many years the roof has left. If anything needs work, a fixed-price quote is attached, with the material named by brand and line.
No follow-up calls unless you ask for one. The report is yours to keep, to get other quotes with, or to sit on for a year. If the answer is "call us in five years," we will say so, and we will mean it.
Roofers hate publishing prices. We would rather you walk in knowing the shape of the number. These are real ranges from the last year of our jobs, on typical homes around Harlow, with everything included: tear-off, disposal, underlayment, flashing, ridge vent, cleanup and the warranty.
A square is 100 square feet of roof. Most homes are 15 to 30 of them.

Ranges reflect a full tear-off of one layer on a home we can get a dumpster next to. Cedar shake runs about 2.5 to 3 times the shingle range. Your written quote is a fixed price, not a range; the one line that can change after signing is decking, priced per sheet and photographed sheet by sheet.
Every big storm brings out-of-town trucks and a lot of urgency. Here is what actually matters in the first 48 hours, what tarping costs, and how an insurance claim goes when we are the ones on the roof.
You do not need to climb anything. Walk the yard and the driveway and look for these:
See any of it? Call. We will climb up, photograph it, and tell you whether it is a repair, a claim, or nothing.
If water is coming in, that is the emergency. We tarp within 24 hours of your call during any storm event, and we photograph the damage before the tarp goes on so nothing is lost under it.
$350 to $650Depending on the area covered. Insurance treats tarping as mitigation and usually reimburses it. We send you a receipt you can forward the same day.
We inspect first, before you file, because a $1,400 repair under a $2,500 deductible is not a claim, it is a repair, and filing it can raise your premium for nothing.
If it is a claim, you file it. We send you the photos and report to attach, and we meet the adjuster on the roof. We bill the work at what it costs.
We will not "waive your deductible" or pad the estimate to cover it. That is insurance fraud, and the person it lands on is you.
Storm chasers knock on doors after every big wind. We have been at 1180 Quarry Road since 1994, and we will still be here for the warranty.
Call (555) 555-0140The bundle says 50 years. Our climate says otherwise. These are the numbers we have actually seen on roofs we installed and roofs we replaced, and the cost of each next to a shingle roof.

The roof on most of the houses we work on, and for good reason. Laminated, dimensional, a 130 mph wind rating on the lines we install, in about a dozen colors. Repairs are cheap and any roofer can do them.

24-gauge steel, concealed fasteners, panels formed to length on site. Sheds snow, shrugs off hail, and is only loud in the rain if the attic is uninsulated. Fewer colors, and a dent stays a dent.
Hand-split western red cedar over skip sheathing so it can dry from both sides. The most beautiful roof there is, and the one that needs a look every few years. Shorter life on shaded slopes and under overhanging trees.
Walt Brannock started Eave in 1994 with one crew and a ladder rack on a Ford. His son Dan has run it since 2011 and still climbs on most inspections. The eleven people on the crews are employees: W-2s, workers' comp, and the same faces on your roof that were on your neighbor's. Every foreman has been here at least six years.
We are not the cheapest quote you will get. We are the one whose phone number will still work in year fifteen, when the warranty matters.
"If I would not put it on my mother's house, it does not go on yours."
They found the leak in twenty minutes. Two other companies had quoted me a whole new roof; it was a cracked pipe boot. Four hundred dollars. They sent me a photo of the old boot and a photo of the new one, and I have not thought about my roof since.

Hail in May, new roof by July. Dan met the adjuster on the roof with his own photos and the claim went through the first time, no back and forth. The crew swept the yard with a magnet twice. My kids' bikes never picked up a nail.

Harlow is home. These towns are our regular route. Farther than that, call anyway; for a full replacement we will usually come.
One call. A roofer on your roof within a few days, twenty photos the same afternoon, and no pressure after that.
